General Equipment Warranty
Unless otherwise indicated, new equipment manufactured by Summit Industries is warranted for five (5) years from the invoice date (invoice from Summit to Seller) as follows:
- Any part proving defective will be repaired or replaced free of charge, F.O.B. factory, if the defective part is returned for inspection, freight charges prepaid.
- This warranty covers parts only.
- Summit Industries reserves the right to fulfill warranty requirements with new or refurbished components that meet or exceed current product performance and specifications.
Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not apply to:
Any labor costs
Collimator glassware
Fuses
X-ray tubes (see Extended Vended Product Warranty)
Damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect or shipping
Service performed by persons other than authorized Summit dealers or representatives
Equipment, if interconnected with components not sold by Summit and/or not approved by Summit Industries for compatibility
Certain vended products (see Vended Product Warranty)
Acts of God, flood, fire, weather, lightning, earthquakes, etc.
User training
Interruption of electric service
This warranty is not transferable to a new owner unless authorized by Summit Industries in writing. Refer to Returned Goods Policy for further details regarding shipping charges.
Warranty Replacement Parts
Any part shipped during the warranty period to correct a failure under warranty is warranted only for the unexpired term of the warranty of the original product. Summit Industries reserves the right to fulfill warranty requirements with new or refurbished components that meet or exceed current product performance and specifications.
Non-Warranty Replacement Parts
Non-Warranty parts purchased from Summit Industries are warranted for six (6) months from the invoice date and are subject to the conditions of the General Equipment Warranty. Summit Industries reserves the right to fulfill non-warranty requirements with new or refurbished components that meet or exceed current product performance and specifications.
Vended Product Warranty
Unless specifically stated otherwise, vended products listed below will carry only the warranty of their respective manufacturer and are subject to the conditions of the General Equipment Warranty:
X-ray tubes purchased loose
AEC ion chambers and logic
150 kV rated high voltage cables
150 kV rated collimators
Extended Vended Product Warranty
Summit extends original manufacturer’s warranty on x-ray tubes purchased with Summit’s x-ray systems. X-ray tubes will carry a five (5) year pro-rated warranty, from the date of invoice.
